Belmond – Interactive Sales Presentation

The Project

As a global luxury travel brand, Belmond have a wide range of travel experiences to promote to a large audience. UKSV have worked alongside Belmond on a number of multimedia and brand experiences over the past 3 years and were approached to provide creative and technical support to create an iPad friendly, interactive sales presentation that covered all of the company’s train and river cruises. The presentation needed to be flexible enough so that each individual salesperson could deliver the presentation in their own way across the globe.

The Presentation

The presentation was required to show 13 bespoke train and river journeys and had to feature journey information, route maps, dining information, cabin images and unique video content for each journey in a branded framework that reflected the high quality and brand identity of the client’s services.

After a lengthy development phase, where we demonstrated a number of potential solutions to the client included an interactive pdf and a simple microsite, we finally opted to create the document in PowerPoint using Hyperlinks to allow the user to jump from section to section as they pleased to make the presentation as flexible as possible.

In total we created over 400 navigable slides that behaved much more like an interactive brochure than a conventional Presentation and allowed for us to add additional trips and more detail to sections as required. This gave the client the flexibility they required and a route to develop the presentation going forward rather than having to design something from scratch each time.

The presentations were loaded on to the clients iPad’s and rigorously tested before deployment and are now in use around the world.
