Boehringer Ingelheim – Sales Conference
”A powerful and engaging sales conference ahead of its time”
THE OBJECTIVE
UKSV were engaged to provide Creative Support and produce content and direction for the Sales PM Conference attended by 400 Boehringer Ingelheim Sales Professionals. This event is a twice yearly opportunity for the sales force to come together to review the last six months, share best practise and engage and update themselves with the various brands and products within the BI portfolio. These events are one of the key enablers and upskilling opportunities to ensure the sales force are equipped and motivated to deliver the Sales Target and continue building existing and new customer relationships.
THE CHALLENGES
The challenge for the Leadership Team was to find a way to ensure the content was relevant and that the messaging and learning was delivered to every individual in a personal and engaging way; whilst at the same time creating an environment of learning from their peers. The cost and commitment to take an entire sales force off the road for 3 days meant the leadership team needed to drive real change that would deliver results over the next 6 months. The challenge for UKSV was to create a truly inspiring event format with creative content that would resonate immediately with the audience and result in tangible benefits and the desired uplift in sales revenue post conference.
THE SOLUTION
The team at UKSV approached the project by meticulously dissecting the brief to ensure a true understanding of the needs of the client and the capabilities of the new drug therapy. They interrogated all aspects including key messages, key drivers, the products, business environment and competition and considered what the audience wanted and needed to hear. As a result the pitch was relevant and focused; taking the time to understand the needs before coming up with ideas meant that the concepts and solutions were bespoke to the need.
UKSV developed an event-flow from the start to the end of the three day conference supported with designs visualising the look and feel; including the design of the stage set, the reveal of the product and the creation of an all encompassing auditorium with a 3-sided wrap-around projection wall and a multi-level stage allowing the presenters to connect closely with the audience. The UKSV team worked closely with the Brand and Marketing team at BI’s head office bringing their marketing material to life for the live conference environment using a multitude of film, lighting, sound effects and stage props; thus creating an immersive experience. The audience seating layout was changed over the 3 days to compliment the messaging in each session, create the right atmosphere and keep the delegates engaged and involved. Each presenter was fully supported in pre-production and onsite with content created for their presentations and stagecraft training to ensure they delivered their messages in a polished and professional way.
THE RESULT
The event was a resounding success with the client appointing UKSV to the preferred supplier roster on a 3 year contract.
