Every year we review the trends that have come and gone in the previous year and make our predictions for the coming 12 months. This year we have identified 5 trends we think will have a real impact on event production in the UK.

Live Streaming – U-Stream, YouTube and Facebook Live will all player a much more prominent role in events this year – creating a bigger audience, online interaction with ease and convenience and richer content.

Bye Bye Big, Hello Small – Smaller more targeted events with specific objectives driven by required outcomes rather than a larger, less specific event – making smaller budgets work harder.

Experiential – creating an immersive atmosphere at your event to create the right environment to retain information will be at the forefront in 2017 – it’s all about engagement of all the senses.

ROI and ROO – measurement of Investment and Outcomes has always been a critical requirement but this year we see a drive to justify spends more directly than ever before… and this will drive the nature of what the events might look like and will help drive growth in areas such as live streaming and event apps.

Event App Integration – driving engagement is at the centre of events and this year will see event apps used to do just that – not just an agenda and speaker biogs, but a useful and measurable tool pre, on-site and post event to extend the life of the event and drive longer-term valuable user interactions.
