An interactive, sustainability focussed, animation for IBM

Creating an unique, touch screen controlled, animation with short lead times and high expectations.

The Challenge

IBM asked UKSV to support them with the development of a touchscreen controlled interactive animation to assist with the marketing of their sustainability software solutions portfolio. Easy so far... however, the real challenge was we had just less than a month to deliver the finished solution and the IBM brand identity for sustainability was still in it's infancy...

The Solution

Working directly with the client team responsible for requesting the activation, we quickly assembled our UX, Animation and Account Management teams so we could  simultaneously create the engaging animation content from the storyboards that were developed in collaboration with the client, and the slick user interface that would work with various touchscreen solutions. To enable us to hit the ambitious deadlines set by the client, we were also given direct access to the Global Marketing team so the designs we created could be signed off quickly or have feedback supplied to allow us to amend on the fly as any delay could mean the deadlines were missed.

The Results

We created over 6 minutes of brand new animated content covering 8 IBM products, housed in an interactive software skin. We also created an offline version that could be used on ipads and a set of standalone animation clips. The client said "The final product is fantastic and is a great asset which can be used in the Innovation Studio, as well as at events. It was a great experience working with UKSV."
