A 1920’S Themed Awards Show Complete With Flapper Girls, Aerialists And An 18 Piece Big Band!

Our main objective was to create an engaging event which would celebrate Nationwide’s business values, recognise their staff achievements and inspire employees.

The Challenge

The Nationwide Annual Awards ceremony is the most prestigious event in the company’s calendar. This challenged our team to pull out all the stops to create a truly unforgettable experience. Taking place every year, the project also demanded a new, exciting and creative approach.

The Solution

Communicating directly with Nationwide representatives, we gained a strong understanding of their needs and requirements for the event. This enabled us to plan and deliver the ceremony accordingly.

Engaging people in the run-up to the event, we produced and sent out bespoke etched brass invites as mementoes for nominees. On the night itself, we also created a 24-page newspaper, printed overnight, so the guests had an inspirational reminder to read the following morning over breakfast.

Creating an exciting 1920’s decadence theme, we surprised guests by leading them into a pitch-black room for the grand unveiling. This included Spotlights on two aerial performers accompanied and an 18-piece jazz band named the Nationwide Pride Orchestra in honour of the company’s PRIDE values. This provided an excellent introduction for the Nationwide CEO!

The Results

The Nationwide Annual Awards event was the highlight of the year for the company and a wonderful occasion for them to recognise their passionate company champions.
